Throughout her career Emily has had the pleasure of assisting and collaborating with a broad range of celebrated choreographers and directors. From 2012-2015, Emily worked extensively alongside Jorge Crecis as assistant choreographer and rehearsal director on commissions for Beijing 9 Contemporary Dance Theatre, Big Dance Festival, Greenwich International Dance Festival, London Contemporary Dance School and Intoto Dance (London Studio Centre).
Emily was movement director for The National Theatre on its 2022 production of Hamlet, reimagined for younger audiences. The production was part of the National Theatre’s Primary Theatre collection, committed to delivering accessible, engaging and exceptional theatre to young audiences across the country. Adapted by Jude Christian and directed by Tinuke Craig, Hamlet was performed at The Dorfman Theatre (National Theatre) as well as touring to primary schools nationwide.
In 2020 Emily created a short solo work for The Royal Opera House programme ‘Family Sundays’ that was presented in a bill of work curated by Daniel Hay Gordon (Thick and Tight) with Corali Dance Company and Vidya Patel.
Emily has also worked alongside critically acclaimed choreographer Morgann Runacre-Temple overseeing and providing assistance on transfers and remounts of her work. These shows include Persuasion (Jeff James, Oxford Playhouse) and Gulliver’s Travels (Jaz Woodcock-Stewart, The Unicorn Theatre). As a dancer, Emily has been involved in the initial creative research and development for Morgann’s choreography on English National Ballet, Northern Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Emily’s other credits as rehearsal director include Antler Theatre and Shaper/Caper. Most recently, Emily has been assistant choreographer to Barnaby Booth for a new work commissioned by Club Guy and Roni for Poetic Disasters Club (Netherlands).
